The Commissioning Engineer will provide commissioning and coordinate the installation of electrical control and automation systems for typical solutions in the security industry.
The incumbent will lead the commissioning responsibilities and finalize the delivery of security systems within the established targets.
Interface and coordinate with the customers, subcontractors, and other internal resources for scheduling.
Responsible for managing and prioritizing multiple projects at the same time.
This position will work closely with Customers, Project Engineers, Subcontractors, Service, Sales, and other Internal Departments.
Position Responsibilities Ability to complete a startup without additional assistance Taking ownership of assigned projects Verifying quality of designs and software Ability to manage subcontractors on large projects Coordinate project activities with appropriate parties internally and externally Direct customer, subcontractor, internal resource communications Coordinate multiple simultaneous projects Perform minor tweaks of software functions Assist with prototyping projects Perform training as required on implemented control systems Create O&M documents upon completion of a project Require minimal assistance/supervision from PEM Consistently maintain positive budgets on assigned project functions Perform all work in a manner consistent with policies, procedures, and standards Assist with projects outside of current assignments Ability to travel up to 75% Perform other duties as assigned QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or GED Valid state driver's license, without restrictions 2
years of commissioning experience in control systems Preferred Associates Degree Skills or experience with personal computers, including electronic E-mail, personal scheduling, word processing, and electronic spreadsheet Knowledge of networks and networking, Microsoft Windows Office Suite, PC configuration and peripherals, along with current and past Windows OS Experience with AutoCAD Ability to be creative and resourceful in obtaining solutions to uncommon applications, and to effectively work independently or in a team atmosphere Proficient time Management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities A strong customer service orientation Desire to work in a very hands-on environment We are a nationwide provider of security solutions and an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse workforce.
